London, Morden, Hotel booking (Hotel Reservation) assistant / Manager in London SM4 5AZ
We are the London (Morden tube station SM4 5AZ) based Travel Company. The job description is as followed. You are strongly advised to check out in details. We will provide you the full training for the advanced company in house travel booking system first. We need you have the advanced Microsoft office skills, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word.
Your salary & bonus will be depending on your experience and performance in the company afterwards, especially if you could negotiate competitive room rates and obtaining the credit facility from the hotel.
The office location is near Morden Tube Station (SM4 5AZ). 5 - 8 minutes walking distance
You will be working as the Hotel booking (Hotel Reservation) assistant / Manager
1, It will be mainly the hotel requests on a daily basis from South East Asia sales offices via in-house computer system and prioritise the work load according to deadlines, arrival dates etc
2, Contacting hotels according to the sales requirements either by e-mail, fax or telephone to make a reservation
3, Inputting and checking rates onto the in-house computer system and negotiating other conditions such as cancellation policies, rooms decrease and upgrades
4, Providing suitable alternatives when required and negotiating possible compensations when hotels do not provide the standard of service required
5, Dealing with amendments and cancellations

7, Negotiating the price and credit facility with the hotel
What we are looking for:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and industry professionals throughout the UK and globally. Fluent at French or Italian will be a big bonus.
2. Ideally you have worked in the travel industry in the past with the similar hotel booking experience.
3, Must be patient, can sit down in front of the laptop all day long. Happy to negotiate the rates, talking over the phone, emailing the hotel or visiting the hotel
4, Good temper and responsible person
